Hackathon agenda


We’ll provide a dedicated time for teams to brainstorm ideas, develop their projects, and collaborate on solutions.

This is an online event. 

Section 1 – Introduction.

  • Welcome to participants and explanation of the process to be followed in the hackathon.
  • Presentation of topics, challenges, tools and methods of the workshop.
  • Expectations (outcomes to be produced in the Hackathon).

Section 2 – Team formation.

Section 3 – Brainstorming of innovative ideas.

  • Brainstorming of innovative ideas and bullet points in the different rooms created by each one of the teams formed.

Section 4 – Prototype and Lean Canvas of the innovative idea.

Coding and structure the innovative projects with a specified format:

  • Title of the project (acronym)
  • Motivation of the urban challenge and novelty of the proposal
  • Objective of the proposal and how to reach it
  • Prototype of the innovative product or service to be designed and produced
  • Lean Canvas: The following key points should be included in all the lean canvas for accomplishing the entire digital journey (analysis of the different aspects of the workshop held in September and its application to the innovative product and service designed and produced):
    • Prototype considerations
    • Ethical considerations, regulatory and policy considerations
    • Marketing strategy (market-alignment and entry). Promotional tools and online presence.
    • Expected impact of the innovative product or service
    • Scalability and long-term sustainability plan of the innovative product and service

Section 5 – Presentation of projects and debate.

Presentation of projects and debate: Teams will present their projects and showcase their work to the audience. Initially 15 minutes each (including a short promotional video of the innovative product/service -up to 3 minutes- describing its most important points -challenge to be solved, prototype production, utility and use of the innovative product/service, marketing relevant points, scalability and long-term sustainability of the innovative product/services). Times for questions and discussions (5 minutes per project).
